Strategic Directions

The QAIS receives funding from the Entente Canada-Québec (via Heritage Canada) to support minority language and second language instruction. This funding allows QAIS to support the community and deliver high-impact professional development. Our strategic areas for 2020-2023 are listed below:

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Diversity can include race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, economic status, physical abilities, life experiences, and other perspectives.

Equity recognises diverse needs in a way that enables all people to participate, perform, and engage to the same extent.

Inclusion is a mindful and equitable effort to meet individual needs so that everyone feels valued, respected, and able to contribute to their fullest potential.

Physical, mental and social well-being.

The wide variety of methods or tools that educators use to evaluate, measure, and document readiness, learning progress, skill acquisition, or educational needs of students.
