Miss Edgar’s and Miss Cramp’s (ECS) is a small school by design. As a community-oriented independent girls’ school in the Montreal-area, we embrace a progressive approach to 21st century learning with a focus on cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset in our students from K-11. The mission of the school is to nurture each student to carve her own future and to care about the future of others as a global citizen in a rapidly changing professional landscape.

ECS is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a dynamic and forward-thinking setting and understands with us that education changes lives. Reporting to the Director of Admissions & Brand Story, and working in tandem with the Communications team, the Marketing Coordinator will support the team in promoting the school by developing and implementing marketing campaigns and promotional materials, tracking performance as well as helping communicate and strengthen the Brand Story as it evolves.


Develops and implement multi-channel communication and marketing strategies for internal and external stakeholders

Conceptualize and write all email marketing campaigns

Coordinate, edit, and optimize any material concerning advertising, branding, and marketing

Ensure that all material is consistent with planned marketing strategies

Track analytics, performance and engagement

Develop and pitch specific stories and story lines to improve editorial coverage

Manage media and public relations for the School

Develop and maintain relationships with industry journalists and community leaders

Ensures the School’s brand is represented appropriately in communications and marketing initiatives

Create and optimize existing content on the School’s website to keep it on target with the Brand Story

Work alongside the Communications team on social media content, events, annual school and community content, and the School’s strategic priorities

Assess market competition by comparing the school's marketing to competitors' marketing

Monitor marketing trends and appropriately apply that knowledge to the communications goals of the School

Communicate the Strategic Plan to our stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field

Minimum three years pertinent experience in marketing, ideally in a nonprofit environment or an advertising agency setting or a school.

Knowledge of Google and social media analytics

Familiarity with the Montreal English private school system an asset

Ability to write, edit and proofread to a professional standard

Have a thorough knowledge of social media platforms and leveraging social media as part of a marketing and public relations strategy

Team player who is proactive, positive and go-to attitude

Outstanding creativity

Excellent English communication, writing and presentation skills; demonstrated success writing marketing content.

Strong French verbal communication, skills in presentation and booking ads and dealing with external partners

Strategic and creative thinker; strong problem-solving skills

Strong interpersonal skills to establish, develop and maintain key relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including colleagues, students, parents, alumni, volunteers and external partners

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
