Position Requirements

  • Full-Time Position
  • Bachelor Degree required, higher education preferred
  • Oral and written fluency in English and French
  • Relevant Background in a related field: Inclusive Education, Educational Psychology, Integrative Education, Teaching
  • Teaching Experience is an asset

Position Description

  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to monitor student success
  • Create and implement Student Success Plans (SSPs) for students with diagnosed learning challenges
  • Meet with students to provide one-on-one and small group support in areas of need (organization, strategic study skills, etc.)
  • Partake in parent teacher interviews upon request
  • Maintain regular communication with parents to encourage their participation as part of the Student Success Plan team
  • Create and evaluate enrichment projects for students with giftedness
  • Assist in leading study skills classes
  • Assess Cycle 1 students’ reading and writing skills through the use of literacy benchmarks; design and conduct early intervention programs to address students’ needs
  • Coordinate Helping Hands, a homework-helping after-school program between elementary and secondary students
  • Attend staff meetings and relay student updates
  • Collaborate with Enrichment Specialists to coordinate the scheduling and supervision of the resource room
  • Organize test and exam accommodations, including preparation of technology
  • Coordinate professional development workshops for faculty and staff
  • Create and maintain relationships with external professionals to appropriately refer parents for assessment and intervention
  • Work collaboratively with all faculty and staff
  • Contribute to the student experience and life of the school
  • Lead Professional Development workshops for faculty
