Google Apps for Science, Technology and Math Teachers with Chris Webb

On May 1st at Villa Maria, this professional development opportunity is open to those teaching STEM-related subjects at the secondary level. Our facilitator for the day, Chris Webb, is an experience classroom teacher, teacher trainer, and Google expert.

Google for Education Administrator Training

On March 31st and in partnership with Selwyn House School and Amplified IT there will be a technical training workshop focused on Google for Education. The morning session will cover a wide range of subjects from Admin Console best practices, Chrome policies to Google Classroom management. The second part of the day will be a roundtable of QAIS members sharing and exploring their challenges and approaches with Google for Education.

February 19, 2016 Makerspaces for newbies and pros

9:00 AM Getting started with making, hacking and creating new ways to learn

12:30 PM Connecting making to learning

The morning session is intended for those that are new to the concept of makerspaces. The afternoon is a more advanced session exploring the types of makerspaces and how making is connected to learning. Attend one or both of these sessions targeting the creation and development of makerspaces that enrich opportunities for learning. Multi-disciplinary teams are recommended.
